Human Trials of 1st Covid-19 vaccine is successfully completed by Russian university 2020. Big Hope for covid prevention

Human Trials of 1st Covid-19 vaccine is successfully completed by Russian university 2020 Big Hope for covid prevention.

The human trials of the world’s first Covid-19 vaccine have been completed at Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University.
Two batches of volunteers for the trials will be discharged on July 15 and July 20 respectively.

Alexander Lukashev, the director of the Institute of Medical Parasitology, tropical and vector-borne diseases at the university, told Sputnik News that the objective of this stage of the study was to show the vaccine’s safety on humans — something that has been successfully achieved.

While the report did not note anything the time when the vaccine will be released for public, Lukashev told the news outlet that further vaccine development plan is already being determined by the developer’s strategy.

Tarasov concluded saying that the university worked with the vaccine, right from the preclinical studies and protocol development.

The development comes at a crucial stage of the global fight against coronavirus as cases are again increasing sharply in some countries, while others like India and Brazil are witnessing an increasing number of cases every day.

While much about the vaccine remains unknown as of now, the fact that human trials have been completed is a significant step towards making a vaccine for coronavirus.
All eyes will now be on comments from International medical bodies including the World Health Organisation.
